The highly anticipated “Beloved” Bridal and Celebrations Fair, hosted by Fili Hotel at Nustar Resort & Casino, concluded its inaugural event with resounding success last September 21-22, 2024. Held at the Grand Ballroom of the Nustar Convention Center, the two-day fair featured over 90 of the industry’s top wedding designers, event planners, and suppliers, offering couples and celebration planners an immersive experience for their upcoming milestones. With highlights including an exclusive fashion show by premier designer Francis Libiran, insightful talks by experts Mary Grace Khu and Rita Neri, and food tastings from Fili Hotel’s Cassiopeia banquet packages, the event proved to be a comprehensive and inspiring destination for all things bridal and celebratory.

“These past two days have been a testament to the beauty of love, creativity, and celebration, coming together in ways that have left a lasting impression on us all. Though this is our first ‘Beloved’ event, it is only the beginning,” saidCristina Ong Cruz, cluster director of sales and marketing for Fili Hotel at Nustar Cebu.

One of the fair’s standout moments was the fashion show by Francis Libiran, who dazzled the audience with his bridal collection, “Covenant for the Beloved.” His exquisite designs provided a glimpse into high-fashion bridal couture, setting a new benchmark for dream weddings.

The event also featured talks by wedding experts Mary Grace Khu and Rita Neri, who shared their insights on wedding planning and execution. Guests also enjoyed food tastings of Fili Hotel’s upcoming Cassiopeia banquet packages, designed by executive chef Martin Rebolledo and executive pastry chef Mac Macatangay. The indulgent menus start at P3,000 per person.

The event culminated in a spectacular fashion show featuring Cebu’s fashion elite: Philip Rodriguez, Protacio Empaces, Jun Escario, Wendell Quisido, Marichu Tan, Valerie Alvez, Hanz Coquilla, Mike Yapching, Oscar James, and Agustin Pedrano. Their formal wear collections showcased the best of Cebuano design, perfect for weddings and other milestone events, cementing Cebu’s reputation as a fashion hub.
