Okada Manila ushers in the season with its ‘Harmony of Lights’
At Okada Manila, the spectacular Christmas tree serves as the property’s centerpiece, with the lighting ceremony led by Okada Manila’s top executives, including Wendy Ni, Okada Manila’s vice president for strategic marketing. The ceremony featured entertainers such as “Asia’s Limitless Star” Julie Anne San Jose, the Malabon Concert Singers, and the Okada Manila Entertainment Group.
The 30-foot Christmas tree is adorned with confectionery-inspired ornaments such as oversized candy canes, ice cream, and cupcakes.
Following the mesmerizing “Harmony of Lights” peg, Okada Manila also opened its much-anticipated Christmas Village, dubbed as the “Home of Wonder,” at the Crystal Pavilion. The ribbon cutting ceremony was spearheaded by the Department of Tourism’s regional director (NCR) Sharlene Batin. The Christmas Village dazzled, and the Interactive Fairy Baubles is an enchanting experience for guests to enjoy, with holiday-themed installations.

‘The Gathering Star’ shines on the season at Sheraton Manila Bay
Sheraton Manila Bay kicked off the festive season with a Christmas tree lighting ceremony on 9 November 2023, at the hotel’s newly renovated MainLobby, embracing the theme “Gatherings & Stories.”
The tree lighting event showcased the 15-foot Sheraton Tree of Sustainability, an eco-conscious masterpiece crafted from actual tree branches, sustainable wood shavings, moss, and dried fruits.
Hotel general manager Richard Masselin presided over the ceremonial lighting, joined by Juvy Agudon, director of sales and marketing; Alex Encarnacion, director of engineering; Jennifer Labita, director of finance; and Roy Aguba, director of human resources. Guests of honor were Manila Mayor Maria Sheilah “Honey” Lacuna–Pangan, Vice Mayor John Marvin “Yul Servo” C. Nieto, and Barangay 699 chairman Edwin “Amo” Chan. In a united celebration of Paskonstelasyon, all Marriott properties in the Philippines launched their holiday festivities, each debuting their symbolic star, with the Gathering Star for Sheraton Manila Bay.
