Authentic Indian spices take center stage at Spiral

In India, food goes beyond the palate. Every dish encapsulates a vast history that is passed on to generations to further celebrate their rich history and interesting traditions. That is why when experiencing one’s culture, it is always a must to try their authentic dishes and delicacies.

To celebrate this, The Embassy of India collaborated with the Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila to bring exotic Indian flavors to the Philippines with the latest installment of Sofitel’s Flavors of the World culinary series: Incredible India.

From September 11 until 17, the five-star luxury resort hotel’s buffet restaurant, Spiral, will highlight a sumptuous selection of authentic North Indian dishes prepared by Spiral’s Indian Master Chef Halim Ali Khan. This affair will also showcase the vibrancy of Indian culture as they transform the restaurant into a Hindu sanctuary designed by Aditi Ahuja, in celebration of India’s 70th year of Independence.

Indulge in exciting flavors of India with this series of specials events:

September 12: Cooking Class Davao and Boracay Show Kitchen at 4PM

Put your chef’s hat on and experience a culinary adventure from the other side of the kitchen counter.

Get the chance to explore the other side of the kitchen counter by living like Chef Halim even just for a little while. He will present a culinary demonstration to educate participants on how to create classic Indian recipes such as Chicken Korma and the traditional Indian snack, Onion Pakora enjoyed with tamarind chutney.

Rate is set at Php 1,500 nett per person. Limited seats available. Kindly book early to guarantee participation and slot.

September 14:  Chef’s Table featuring Chef Halim Ali Khan Davao and Boracay Show Kitchen at 11:30AM

Witness Chef Halim Ali Khan in action at the exclusive Chef’s Table as he cooks signature Indian dishes right before your very eyes. Experience an exclusive dining engagement presenting a 3-course menu including Kebab Platter, Indian Thali (platter) with dal, paneer, chicken, lamb and chapatti, and Gajar Ka Alwa.

Rate is set at Php2, 600 nett per person. Limited seats available. Kindly make your reservations early to guarantee seating.
