For the first time since it opened, Marco Polo Ortigas Manila will be holding a gala entitled “Silken Voices, Silken Roads: An Opera Gala Dinner,” inspired by the expedition of the hotel’s icon, Marco Polo. Marco Polo traversed the Silk Road to discover different countries and cultures and to bring Western influences to the Far East. Last March 30, Marco Polo treated the media to a sneak peak of what’s going to happen on the 18th.
On April 18 in its Grand Ballroom, Marco Polo Ortigas Manila will take guests to a memorable voyage through a delectable feast, crafted-to-perfection musical pieces, and an elegant fashion presentation to celebrate its second anniversary.
Treat your ears to the grand voices of Francisco Aseniero, Asia’s Got Talent runner-up Gerphil Flores, and the Philippine Opera Company led by renowned director Floy Quintos as they serenade you with timeless Neopolitan songs and musical selections.
Veteran fashion designer Renee Salud will also be showcasing a collection to highlight cross-continental inspirations through different fabrics, embroideries, colors, and shapes—classic yet modern fashion that will surely catch every woman’s fancy.

Every cultural journey is never complete without indulging into a culinary experience. Executive Chef Lluis Paserradona will reinvent regional favorites while Chinese Chef Ken Leung will highlight the best there is in Chinese cuisine. Expect a rich, scrumptious, and soul-satisfying spread that ends with a one-of-a-kind Italian gelato to fulfill the palette.
