Robinsons Hotels and Resorts has reached a major milestone – that of having 25 hotel properties under its steadily growing portfolio – with the unveiling of Grand Summit Hotel General Santos, the most refined and upscale property of the group to date. Standing at the corner of Honorio Arriola and Arradaza Street in General Santos City, the stylish hotel offers 102 deluxe rooms and suites, an exceptional dining experience, and a fine array of amenities and services to please even the most discerning guests.

Cafe Summit

General Santos City, the southernmost city in the Philippines, is now home to around 700,000 people. Famously known as the Tuna Capital of the Philippines, this first-class, highly urbanized city is the recognized center for commerce and industry in the Soccsksargen (South Cotabato, Cotabato, Sultan Kudarat, Sarangani, and General Santos) region. The city’s booming economy, its proximity to must-see tourism attractions in this side of Mindanao, and relaxed, laid-back vibe have all made it the perfect setting for the Grand Summit Hotel.

Whether you’re in town to visit, to explore business opportunities, visit the famous General Santos City Fish Port Complex and sample the freshest yellow-fin tuna sashimi ever, have a leisurely yet awe-inspiring hike to the top of Sanchez Peak, the highest point in GenSan, or maybe to have a quick side trip Lake Sebu, one of the prime eco-tourism destinations in Mindanao, the Grand Summit Hotel will surely be the most relaxed, rewarding, and stress-free place to stay.

Deluxe King

Its location beside Robinsons Place General Santos is a definite plus for those who plan to do some shopping. And if you’re in the mood for some fun and excitement, the Grand Imperial gaming facility is also right next door. Rising four-stories high, the clean and modern lines of the hotel’s elegant façade, especially with the floor-to-ceiling glass windows on the ground floor, invite you to have a closer look inside.

Upon arrival, guests are greeted by a panoramic view of a hand painted abstract mountainous range, a focal point in the main lobby that provides a stunning impact the moment guests enter the space. Depicting the summit of a vast mountain range, the concept was ultimately inspired by the brand itself. This motif continues throughout the property, with this “journey to the peak” being depicted in both the hotel’s public spaces, in the function rooms, and in the guest rooms.

Lobby – Holidays at GSG

You’ll immediately feel at home, thanks to the smartly uniformed hotel staff who warmly welcome you with a heartfelt greeting and a Grand Summit Signature Blend welcome drink.

After the VIP treatment, checking in is a breeze, thanks to the self-check in counter which minimizes unnecessary contact for guests’ health and safety.

The contemporary look and feel of the interiors are made inviting and cozy through the use of a warm color palette, with auburn hues in the furnishings and other design accents, complemented by a harmonious lighting scheme which cohesively ties the various interior elements together.

Meeting Room

The design firm also made generous use of the concept of bringing the outdoors in. This is in response to the preferences of today’s travelers who’ve spent much of the pandemic confined to their homes, thus the need to feel like they are outdoors or closer to nature. This desire is addressed by the floor-to-ceiling glass panels in many areas of the Grand Summit Hotel, its big picture windows, and again through the artwork, which all celebrate the great outdoors.

Upon entering your room, you also become aware of the hotel’s thoughtful touches that put premium hospitality within reach, making one’s stay even more meaningful. These may include personalized notes, welcome amenities and turndown items, and even a pillow menu so guests can enjoy the best sleep possible.

Billed as a family-friendly hotel, sharing a room with family members (once quarantine measures are eased, of course) should prove to pleasant experience, given the generous dimensions of the rooms. The Deluxe King, Deluxe Twin, and Deluxe PWD rooms all boast 36 square meters of space. Those who need more room might want to try either the Morrow Suite or the Odi Suite, which both have a massive 107 square meters to luxuriate in.

In keeping with the sustainability agenda of its parent company, Robinsons Land, Grand Summit Hotel seeks ways to minimize its environmental impact. It has eliminated the use of disposable shampoo bottles, for instance, replacing these with dispensers in the bathrooms. Once it becomes safe to do so, the hotel will also be halting the use of single-use water bottles in the guest rooms, and will provide glass water pitchers instead.

For guests’ dining needs, Café Summit, the hotel’s elegant all-day dining outlet, offers a range of regional delicacies as well as international cuisines, available either on the a la carte menu or the tempting buffet spread. But more than just a place to enjoy delicious meals, this space is also a venue for people to enjoy each other’s company, a relaxing refuge after work. After all, after one’s journey to the summit, you need to celebrate and enjoy life’s great rewards.

In the same manner, with GenSan’s healthy economy and increasing prosperity comes the opportunity to celebrate memorable moments. Whether they’re intimate gatherings or for larger celebrations, business meetings or conferences, the Grand Summit Hotels’ many versatile function rooms, spanning in size from 59 square meters up to 863 square meters, can handle them all.

Helping with the celebratory mood is the good news that COVID cases are down, thanks in part to rising vaccination rates in the country. Still, Grand Summit Hotel is taking all guests’ health and well -being very seriously, so it continues to implement Robinsons Hotels and Resorts’ Circle of Clean protocol, which is complies with World Health Organization’s hygiene and cleanliness standards as well as the Department of Health’s New Normal protocols. The COC safety measures include online check-in, luggage disinfection upon check-in and check-out, and hygienic food and beverage handling, all to ensure your safe and worry-free stay.

Are you ready to “Experience the Grand Lifestyle”? The Grand Summit Hotel’s deluxe rooms, Café Summit, and selected function rooms are now ready to welcome you. The swimming pool and suite facilities will be available this December, while the Grand Summit Ballroom, spa, and fitness center are scheduled to open by the second quarter of 2022.

Come visit and live life at the very peak, only at the Grand Summit Hotel.
