Asian Dragon‘s publisher Olivia Limpe-Aw was able to get up-close with now President Rody Duterte when he was still undecided to run for the presidential post in 2015. Rody Duterte was on the cover of Asian Dragon Magazine July-August 2015 and we ran the full story on him here.

Duterteisms is a series of snippets from interviews we conducted with President Rody Duterte, where we get to know more about our new president, his quirks, and ideas. This is a snippet of Olivia Limpe-Aw’s conversation with him where Duterte talks about shooting a bully at school. We can remember that in April, during a political rally in Iloilo, Duterte admits that he shot a classmate who was bullying them in San Beda. This has led to him not being able to march during the graduation rites. In Asian Dragon‘s interview with him, he talks about why he shot the said bully.

*-ism is used as a productive suffix in the formation of nouns denoting action or practice, state or condition, principles, doctrines, a usage or characteristic, devotion or adherence, etc.
