President-elect Rody Duterte and Pastor Apollo Quiboloy go a long way back. The pastor always had his back, supported him throughout the campaign and even lent Mayor Duterte his private jet and helicopter.

Will we see more of Pastor Quiboloy now that Pres. Rody Duterte is getting ready for the iron throne?

Asian Dragon had the opportunity to visit Pastor Quiboloy’s Prayer Mountain, including the Glory Mountain, which is not open to the public and only accessible only by special invitation. It was truly a sight to behold with beautiful manicured lawns and landscaped gardens, lined with tens of thousands of pine trees.

Maybe President Duterte could request Pastor Quiboloy to lend a hand and  help beautify the country. Not only is he a spiritual leader, but he is also one who has exquisite taste and an eye and passion for beauty. Proof are his creations, the Glory and Prayer Mountains.

Imagine if our national parks and public spaces were even just half as beautiful as the Tamayong Prayer Mountain, a beautiful complex that houses the pastoral houses of the congregation with rich flora and fauna in full blossom, or the Glory Mountain, home to more than 50,000 pine trees and was named by Quiboloy to mean a “restored paradise on earth” in “adoration of the glory of God the Father”?  What a great gift to the people of the Philippines.

The Covenant Mountain and the Glory mountain are located at the foot of Mt. Apo, the tallest peak in the Philippines, which is located in Tamayong, Calinan, Davao City. In fact, 60 percent of the flowers and plants that cover all eight hectares of the reserve were imported from all over the world, and the gardens use at least seven trucks of water everyday for maintenance. The building plans, details of the furniture, landscaping, and design of both Mountains were created and oversaw by Pastor Quiboloy’s himself; this is why the project is also very dear to him.

If Pastor Quiboloy can duplicate these beautiful natural gems all over the country, it would be one of Pres. Duterte’s great legacy to the Filipinos.
