The annual Manila International Auto Show (MIAS) by Worldbex Services International continues to be one of the biggest and most explosive car shows in the country that car enthusiasts look forward to every year. Now on its 12th year, MIAS 2016 promises to deliver the future of the automotive industry right to our doorstep, as it showcases the most state-of-the-art technologies at the core of today’s craziest automobiles.

From the regular cars that you can see lined up in traffic at Edsa to the most innovative automobiles that could only be seen in movies before, the MIAS 2016 has them all on display. Curious what pieces are worth traveling all the way to Pasay for? Here are some of our favorite luxury and sports cars on display at the MIAS 2016.

Jeep is celebrating its 75th anniversary this year and they are driving down the MIAS driveway with their bigger and badder four-door freedom machines. Named the 4×4 of the decade, the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon packs a 3.6L Pentastar V6 engine and features a Rock-Trac 4×4 system, front and rear lockers, and an electronic sway bar disconnect, making it the car that can traverse any terrain. Inside, stay comfortable with heated leather-trimmed seats, complete with voice command Quicksilver accents for the overall luxe feel.

If you’re looking for full-on luxury without drawing too much attention, the Mercedes-Benz CLA could be your best friend. A compact four-door luxury grand tourer developed and manufactured by Mercedes-Benz, the CLA Coupe is style, performance, and grandeur in one automobile. Anthony Lao, VP for Sales of Mercedes-Benz even reveals that Mercedes-Benz had the biggest growth last 2015—this is only a testament to the brand’s quality and reliability.

Although you are sure to get supreme machines from the good ol’ Benz, don’t let brands fool you. Mazda can also pack quite a punch with its MX-5 Skyactiv, a rear-wheel-drive, compact sports roadster with an exterior design inspired by the Shinari Concept unveiled in 2010. The Mx-5 is a six-speed manual transmission with a 2.0-liter SKYACTIV-G inline four-cylinder engine, known for its superior fuel efficiency and shifting feel. Named the World Car and World Car Design of the Year at the 2016 New York Auto Show, the 2016 MX-5 Skyactiv is beautiful, better, and worth every peso.

But our favorite, no-doubt a favorite of many car junkies who stopped by the auto show, is this interesting new concept car from Subaru. Unveiled originally at the 2014 Geneva International Motor Show, the Viziv 2 is described as the future-generation crossover. One of the most interesting features of the Viziv 2 is it does not run on petrol. It is powered by a plug-in hybrid system that uses a 1.6-litre Horizontally-Opposed Direct Injection Turbocharged (DIT) engine, combined with high torque-compatible Lineartronic (CVT), with one front motor and two rear motors.

Visually, it’s also a delight. The driver and front passenger butterfly doors open upward while the back passenger doors slide backward. Inside, the upholstery and the details look like they come straight out of a movie. A five-door can’t get more beautiful than this.

Interestingly, it also has an autopilot of sorts, which makes it capable of lane-keeping assistance and obstacle avoidance.

If you’d like to see more heart-pounding automobiles like these, drop by the MIAS 2016 at the World Trade Center Manila, still ongoing until April 10.
