Hollywood darling and fashion It girl Selena Gomez has added another title to her multi-hyphenate career. As the face of American label Coach, Gomez goes a step further by designing a collection for the brand.

“Coach was actually one of my first designer purchases. Where I’m from in Texas, Coach was the must-have brand.  I remember saving up with my cousin, Priscilla, to get matching wallets,” Gomez reminisces.

Gomez, the most-followed celebrity on Instagram, stars in the brand’s Fall 2017 Campaign shot by Steven Meisel. The multi-talented singer, actress, producer, and philanthropist captures the all-American optimism of Coach in a series of images set in New York City, portraying as the Coach girl about to embark on a road trip in a vintage 1976 Plymouth Fury.

“Seeing Creative Director Stuart Vevers’ vision for the season come full circle was very special. When I attended the show during NYFW to actually shooting the campaign overlooking NYC, it was all pretty surreal,” says the endorser, adding, “Coach made me feel like family from day one. Having the opportunity to grow creatively by working on a design collaboration and reaching so many girls through the Coach Foundation is important to me; and I love that Coach is supportive…Earlier this year, we spent a day visiting schools with the Step Up organization, which Victor works very closely with. Days like that is why I love my job.”

“From the very beginning, the creation of Coach campaigns have been an exciting and collaborative effort,” comments renowned photographer Steven Meisel. “It’s been a pleasure working with Stuart and the team of incredibly talented individuals behind the brand. Inviting Selena Gomez to join the Coach family takes it to another level.”

Selena’s favorite pieces from the collection? “My favorite Fall piece is a cropped shearling jacket, with embroidery, that will look cute dressed down, with a pair of vintage jeans.  The embroidered dress I am wearing in the Swagger campaign image is so fun too.  I love the bow detailing!

In the Philippines, COACH is exclusively distributed by Stores Specialists, Inc., and is located at Rustan’s Shangri-La. Follow @ssilifeph on Instagram for more information.
