Put your best features forward with dashes of shimmer and shine, in the sun or under the night lights
Eyes that sparkle
Makeup should be fun! Don’t be scared to experiment and be bold for a change. The easiest way to draw attention to the eyes, and to open them up, is by putting on some bling and glitter. For full, high-shine eye makeup, choose a crease-proof gel shadow (Laura Mercier Eye Glacé or Chanel Illusion d’Ombre Long Wear Luminous Eyeshadow), and apply directly all over the lids, up to the crease. Blend using a brush or your finger, and don’t forget to soften harsh lines.
Even a little bit of shimmer goes a long way. After doing your go-to eye look, dab a shimmery shadow or loose glitter pigment (M.A.C Glitter) onto the center of the lids, using a damp, fluffy brush to highlight the area.
Note that all colors are highly concentrated and buildable, so start with a thin layer and keep adding until you achieve the intensity you want.
Silver linings
Nail polish has been a constant beauty must, and is one of the fastest ways to make a statement. Instantly turn the spotlight on your pointers by adding strokes of silver polish (Orly Nail Lacquer in Dazzle) over a nude or pastel base (M.A.C Studio Nail Lacquer in French Tipped).
To add a playful and up-to-date spin to the classic smoky eye, draw your lines with a metallic liquid eyeliner like Make Up For Ever Aqua Liner in Diamond White or M.A.C Pro Longwear Fluidline in Silverstroke, if you prefer the gel type.
