A powerful convergence of leaders, communities, and stakeholders marked the strategic launch of the Women Economic Forum (WEF) ASEAN 2026 Philippines, signaling a unified commitment to advancing inclusive growth and women-led development across the region.

Held in Wyndham Garden Manila Bay, the gathering brought together representatives from the public and private sectors, business leaders, advocacy groups, and media partners, creating a collaborative platform anchored on shared purpose and collective action.

Leading the initiative, Amielyn “Asliyah” Limbona, country chair of WEF ASEAN 2026 Philippines, emphasized the importance of building a strong ecosystem where different sectors work together to create meaningful opportunities for women.

“This is not just about leadership—it is about building a community that supports one another, where every stakeholder plays a role in driving real and lasting impact,” she said.

The launch highlighted the growing importance of multi-sector collaboration in addressing evolving economic and social challenges. Participants underscored that progress is most effective when communities are actively engaged, leaders are aligned in vision, and stakeholders are committed to long-term partnerships.

Dr. Maricor M. Malitao, executive vice president of WEF ASEAN 2026 Philippines, noted that fostering strong connections between enterprises, organizations, and communities is key to unlocking new opportunities. She emphasized that empowering women requires not only access to resources, but also sustained collaboration across networks.

From a global perspective, Datin Dr. Hartini Osman, WEF ASEAN president, highlighted the role of international platforms in strengthening partnerships across borders. She shared that bringing together diverse stakeholders enables the exchange of ideas and solutions that can be adapted locally while contributing to global progress.

Meanwhile, Dr. Ramona Ines Bustamante-Raneses emphasized the need for structure and accountability in stakeholder engagement, noting that collaboration must translate into programs that deliver measurable and sustainable impact.

Throughout the event, a clear message emerged: Real transformation is driven by communities working together. Stakeholders highlighted the importance of creating inclusive spaces where dialogue leads to action, and where partnerships are nurtured to support long-term growth.

The launch also reinforced the Philippines’ position as an active contributor to the global movement for women empowerment, bringing together voices that reflect diverse experiences while aligning toward a common vision.
