“Discover Excellence, Trade with Thailand.”

Thailand Week makes a grand comeback after being discontinued for two years due to the pandemic. The event aimed to win the hearts of Filipinos as well as enhance the competitiveness of Thai products in the Philippine market.

Held last March 30 to April 2 at the SMX Convention Center, Thailand Week 2023 was organized by Thailand’s Ministry of Commerce, Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP), through the Thai Trade Center in Manila. Showcased during the four-day event were various quality Thai products ranging from food and beverage, health & beauty products, household products, fashion & lifestyles, gems & jewelry, and many more.

“This is the first Thailand Week exhibition held on-site after we experienced the COVID-19 pandemic for 3 years,” said Ms. Janthana Chotimunee, Director of the Thai Trade Center Manila, the main organizer of the event.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony kicked off Thailand Week 2023. VIPs including Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Republic of the Philippines H.E. Tull Traisorat, Philippine-Thailand Business Council Chairman Eusebio Tanco, Philippine Retail Association President Rosemarie Ong, and Senator Cynthia Aguilar Villar graced the event.

Mr. Jurin Laksanawisit – Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Commerece

This year, the fair brought around 80 exhibitors showcasing the best products Thailand has to offer – allowing visitors to access and purchase high-quality products at very affordable prices, experience the exotic Thai culture, and even taste the food and enjoy Thai hospitality from the best Thai chef in town.

Additionally, the fair allowed Filipino businessmen to explore marketable and competitive products from Thailand to strengthen bilateral trade and business relationships.

Thailand Week 2023 also reaffirms the strong trade relationship between the Philippines and the land of smiles. The total trade between the two countries reached $11.22 billion in 2022. Meanwhile, the Philippines ranks 14th among its trading partners.
