Shine on: 5 ways to wear sparkles on New Year’s eve

Ring in 2018 with everything fun and bright! Sequins and glitter are NYE staples and there are different ways to get your shine on.
Here are five wearable ways to sport high-shine style, which will also be trendy in 2018! Better start the year in style, right?

1. Sequined slip dress
A sparkly main frock is always a good idea. Layer with a jacket of your choice and your go-to dancing shoes—flats and mules allowed—to take it from over-the-top to day-to-night glam.
Or better yet, go full-on dripping in shimmer with head-to-toe glitz to ring in the festivities with a bang.

2. The new glass slippers

N21 glitter mules

The easiest way to jazz up any ensemble is to throw on a sparkly pair of statement steppers. Whether it’s a glittery pair like these N21 mules or the coveted crystal-encrusted Saint Laurent boots, slip into a fancy pair to take your NYE look up a hundred notch.

3. Wear it on your face

If you’re not into glitter on your clothes, shine through your makeup instead. It’s the season to be bold and fun! Forget matte formulas and dab on pigments, gloss, and glitters for that much-needed dose of sparkle.

4. Shiny separates

A metallic jacket you can wear day or night, dressed up or down is a perfect investment. For your NYE parties, layer up in a metallic cover-up, best paired with your classic LBD.

Another way is to go for sequined separates—a sequined pants or skirt paired with a plain sweater or vice versa—to give your #ootd the right amount of shine.

5. All-out accessory

Accessories by way of jewelry, scarves, belts, and bags are fool-proof ways to get on the sparkle bandwagon.
