| Editor’s Pick | Best summer bargain find: Wet n Wild Megaliner Liquid Eyeliner

I must admit, I usually go for neutrals for my eye makeup. This 2016, however, I promised to experiment and wear more colors especially now that summer is fast approaching.

For starters, try a bold-colored eye liner, which you can wear on bare eyes or over your usual eye shadow. I do have my favorites, but I recently found a great product worth trying.

I received three colors from the Holiday 2015 Wet n Wild Megaliner Liquid Eyeliner collection and decided to road test them. These are basically frosted liquid eyeliners with fine shimmers in a no-frills inkwell packaging.

It’s a dip type with a fine tip brush applicator and a fairly long cover/wand that gives you a good grip. I personally prefer brush tips over other types of eyeliners as I find them easier to use and don’t tug the skin.

The fine, pointed tip draws a thin and precise line ideal for that perfect flick. The brush is soft and flexible. However, if you don’t have a steady hand, it might be a bit tricky to apply. To make it easier, position the brush parallel to your lids and let it glide along the upper lash line, section by section. This also creates a thicker line, which is perfect for a bold cat eye. For the finishing touches, position the brush perpendicularly and use the tip to define the edges.

The consistency of the product is a little thick but is extremely pigmented, giving you enough color and vividness in just one stroke. But even with the slightly thick consistency, the product sets completely in less than a minute. I noticed that the color slightly darkens when the product sets, so don’t get easily shocked by the colors!

The thing I like the most about the Megaliner Liquid Eyeliner is that it’s long-wearingit lasted on my oily lids for 10 hours without any primer underneath. For only P299 a pop, that alone makes it a steal! Unlike some brush tip liners, the line doesn’t fade or flake over time even with multiple coats. It’s not waterproof, which makes it easy to remove.

The colors look generally flattering on Filipina skin and eyes. My top favorites? I’d have to pick Jollywood (bronze) and Nightingale (midgnight blue).

Wet n Wild Megaliner Liquid Eyeliner and other Wet n Wild products are available at Purebeauty and in all leading department stores nationwide, and exclusively distributed by Sprint Asia.
