In a campaign sortie of Team Pnoy in Cavite in 2013, we would remember that President Benigno Aquino III promised an LRT 1 extension project that would connect Baclaran to Bacoor and that this will be completed in two years. According to his speech, the project will be able to service at least 250,000 passengers by the end of 2015.

His words of “honor” even, were, “turo po ng tatay ko sa’kin, pag nagbitaw ako ng salita, mahirap o madali, kailangan mangyari (my dad taught me that when I promise something, I have to make it happen whether it’s easy or hard to achieve).”

“At pag hindi ho nangyari ito, nandyan ho si  Secretary Abaya na nangangasiwa ng proyektong ito, dalawa na kaming magpapasagasa siguro sa train (If this doesn’t happen, we have Secretary Abaya at the helm of the projectmaybe we can be run over by the train),” he adds.

We are 17 days away from the end of 2015 and we’re not seeing any addition to the LRT 1 line, or any changes in the train system, for that matter. Will we be seeing our president and Transportation Secretary Joseph Emilio Abaya throwing themselves in front of the LRT soon?

Watch him say these himself in the video by Daily News below.
