The campaign aims to help each Filipino build financial confidence and security. As the face of Sun Life Philippines’ latest advocacy, Donny openly shares that stepping outside his comfort zone in terms of his career, personal growth, or finances has been challenging. However, he reiterates that establishing a financially-secure future is about building confidence that lets a person enjoy life’s moments with discipline.

“There isn’t one ‘right track,'” Donny says. “Everyone has different tracks and timelines. What matters is knowing what you’re working towards and taking steps that align with what matters most to you,” he adds.

This campaign aims to inspire Filipinos to enjoy life today while taking small steps in gradually building financial confidence though savings, investments, and insurance. To achieve this, Donny suggests starting with an amount they are comfortable setting aside, then build the habit of saving consistently over time.

Moreover, Sun Life’s new brand ambassador strongly recommends having a financial system would also help, to help in staying focused on long-term priorities instead of giving in to impulse buys.

The actor also advises that while in the process, reach out to qualified people who is capable of educating others on financial literacy, instead of comparing oneself to everyone else. For this, he affirms that Sun Life financial advisor can be a valuable first step, helpful in exploring one’s goals, understand their options, and create a plan that’s tailored to needs and priorities.

Before the program ends, Donny Pangilinan and Sun Life Philippines urges the public to “start small and start today” by setting financial priorities and establishing systems in place to support the future, with the help of Sun Life.
