Destileria Limtuaco Museum proudly clinched First Place in the Best Calesa Design Competition during
the inaugural Fiesta de Bandas y Calesas at Kartilya ng Katipunan, Manila.
The event, opened by Manila City Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso, featured a parade of 17
vibrant calesas and lively marching bands, honoring Filipino tradition and the kucheros who keep this
heritage alive in celebration of Tourism Month.
Destileria Limtuaco Museum’s entry captivated the crowd with its creativity, cultural authenticity, and
artistry, embodying Filipino pride and heritage. The parade journeyed from Kartilya ng Katipunan to Fort
Santiago in Intramuros, delighting both locals and tourists.
Also included in the Top 3 winners were the Illustrado Restaurant, Second Place, and the Lyceum of the
Philippines University–Manila, Third Place.
This recognition highlights the Museum’s ongoing dedication to heritage, innovation, and celebrating
Filipino artistry through history and tradition.
The Destileria Limtuaco Museum is a cultural and historical destination in Intramuros, Manila that tells
