SEEING the exhibit “Intimate Audrey” was truly a treat for me, an avid fan of actress and icon Miss Audrey Hepburn.
The stages of her life and where it all began are presented through her family’s personal collection. I feel fortunate to have visited this exhibit—it is truly a work of love!
Sean Hepburn Ferrer created this in celebration of his mother, Audrey Hepburn, on her 90th birth anniversary. During the visit, I was impressed to learn of Mr. Ferrer’s ingenious idea to co-author a children’s book with his wife Karin, entitled Little Audrey’s Daydream. The story tells us what Little Audrey wishes for and dreams of, and it parallels the true events of her life.
The opportunity, though brief, to meet and converse with Mr. Ferrer during the exhibit was wonderful, and the cherry on the top of this experience was that he signed my book!
From his perspective, I see a son showered with love and affection. In turn, he offers the world the true comprehension and exposition of his mother’s life. It was truly an intimate look at the life of an actress I greatly admire.
